"Rugged style, with briary tannins carrying black currant, grilled beef, tobacco and dark olive flavors. Good grip on the finish too. Drink now through 2008. 2,000 cases made"- JM
La Ferme du Mont is a collaborative project between grower Gabriel Rey and winemakers Stephane Vedeau and Claude Serra. The 2005 Cotes du Rhone is sourced from vineyards in Rasteau and Gigondas, two of the most prized Southern Rhone villages. It is a blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Syrah.

Dark red/purple hues. Spiced nose, black pepper and garrigue dusts a full raspberry jam core. Rich and stacked with voluptuous jammy flavors, raspberry, plum, cassis. Peppery tannins give a mild bite to the finish with very good acidity as well.

2005 is a classic vintage for Southern Rhone wines and this represents incredible value at the price.
